Olajide Adediran (Jandor) has declared his 2027 Lagos governorship ambition under the APC while pledging support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has announced his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adediran, who defected to the APC in March after leaving the PDP, was Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s challenger in the 2023 election, with Nollywood actress Funke Akindele as his running mate.

Speaking during Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, Jandor declared, “As for Lagos State, I am offering myself once again to serve. I’m indeed running for the Lagos governorship race in 2027.” He dismissed speculations about other contenders, including President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi, and former governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

Commending Tinubu’s leadership, he said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has proven his capacity to lead this country with vision and courage. I call on Lagosians and Nigerians at large to ensure he gets a second term in 2027.”

He urged citizens to remain hopeful, insisting Nigeria’s future “holds brighter promises.”
