Jonathan and Akufo-Addo visited VP Shettima in London to pay respects to late President Buhari.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan and former Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo on Monday visited Vice President Kashim Shettima and his delegation in London to pay tribute to the late former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.
This was disclosed in a statement by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Communication.
Buhari died at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, at a London clinic after a prolonged illness. He had travelled on June 28 for medical follow-up but suffered a sudden downturn.
President Bola Tinubu has declared seven days of national mourning. Shettima is in London to accompany Buhari’s body back to Nigeria.
