Kebbi appoints 21 new Local Government secretaries

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has approved the appointment of 21 new local government secretaries.

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has approved the appointment of 21 new secretaries for the local government councils across the state.

The announcement was made on Monday in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris, in Birnin Kebbi.

According to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, official appointment letters have been issued to the respective appointees.

“The appointments are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the machinery of local governance and ensure effective service delivery at the grassroots,” Bala-Tafida stated.

Among those appointed are Muhammad Aliero (Aliero), Zainab Kangiwa (Arewa), Lawali Target (Argungu), and Mohammed Gawamba (Bagudo). Others include Ahmed Zauro (Birnin Kebbi), Sabi’u Jandutse (Jega), and AbdurRahman Manga (Zuru).

Bala-Tafida urged the appointees to demonstrate “diligence, loyalty, and a strong sense of responsibility,” emphasizing that their performance will be closely monitored
