Lagos State has appointed social media influencer Mandy Kiss as an ambassador against drug abuse despite recent controversy over her proposed Guinness World Record sex stunt.
Social media personality Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, popularly known as “Mandy Kiss,” has been officially named a brand ambassador for Lagos State Kick Against Drug and Substance Abuse (LASKADA). The appointment was announced by Lagos Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, during an event on Tuesday.
“We’re here with Mandy Kiss…she’s actually agreed to become one of our LASKADA brand ambassadors,” Ogunlende said, stressing that drug abuse is “a pandemic hitting our streets” and urging collaboration with influencers who command large followings.
The commissioner noted that Mandy Kiss’s 402,000 followers positioned her as a valuable voice for the campaign.
The development comes shortly after she sparked outrage by announcing—then retracting—a plan to have sex with 100 men in one day for a Guinness World Record attempt.
“Everybody has a past,” Ogunlende said, expressing hope that she would help spread the anti-drug message across Lagos communities.
