Lagos State says its ₦3.366 trillion 2025 budget has achieved an 80 percent performance as of October, driven by strong revenue growth and progress on capital projects.
The Lagos State Government says its ₦3.366 trillion 2025 budget has recorded 80 percent cumulative performance as of October. Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, disclosed this during a media chat in Alausa, Ikeja, adding that both revenue generation and capital projects were performing strongly.
“As of September 2025, performance stood at about 79 percent. But now, it has exceeded 80 percent,” he said.
Omotoso highlighted the Sanwo-Olu administration’s investments in housing, roads, and transport, noting that “people are now proud to live in areas like Badagry, Ikorodu, and Igbogbo.”
He said the Opebi–Mende Link Bridge would be commissioned before year-end.
Reacting to allegations over the Trade Fair demolition, he said claims of bias were “baseless and politically motivated,” stressing that all constructions must have valid building permits. “People can’t just build however they like and turn the place into a slum,” he said.
