“Your suspension order is indefinite until you retrace your steps and do the needful,” Olubadan affirmed.

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has suspended two family chiefs—Mogaji Kukula, Kamorudeen Kolawole, and Mogaji Samsudeen Bello—over allegations of land grabbing. The suspension, announced during the Olubadan Land Matters Committee meeting on Thursday, includes the removal of their traditional beads and takes immediate effect. The monarch, speaking through Otun Olubadan Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, declared the suspension indefinite until the chiefs “retrace their steps and do the needful.”

A statement by the Olubadan’s Chief Press Secretary, Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, confirmed the sanctions against the Mogajis from the Kukula and Ekerin Ajengbe families. The decision underscores the palace’s zero-tolerance for misconduct, particularly in land disputes. “Your suspension order remains until you rectify your actions,” the Olubadan warned, reaffirming his commitment to upholding justice and order in Ibadanland.
