LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky has revealed that he relies on Microsoft’s AI assistant, Copilot, for almost every high-stakes email he sends, including those to Microsoft chief Satya Nadella.

LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky has admitted that artificial intelligence plays a key role in his daily communications, including emails to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

Speaking during a fireside chat at LinkedIn’s San Francisco office on Tuesday, Roslansky described AI as “having a second brain” that understands him “extremely well.” He noted that tools like Microsoft’s Copilot are especially valuable when crafting high-stakes emails.

“A lot of the time when I’m sending a super high-stakes email to Satya Nadella or other CEOs or world leaders, you’ve got to make sure you sound super smart when you do that,” Roslansky said. “So I would say that without a doubt, almost every email that I send these days is being sent with the help of Copilot.”

He clarified, however, that he doesn’t use AI to write entire emails. Instead, Copilot guides him through a step-by-step process by asking questions that shape his response. “The problem is that you’re actually asking AI to make tons of decisions for you when you ask it to blindly reply to an email,” he explained.

Roslansky’s comments reflect a wider trend. A June Gallup poll showed managers use AI twice as much as individual employees, with executives across sectors now relying on the technology for communication and document review.
