“We are aware of footage of the incident circulating and we would ask that people do not share this.”
A man who died 10 days after being allegedly assaulted at a charity event has been described as the “most wonderful dad” by his grieving wife, according to Daily Mirror reporting.
Jack Oliver Frogell, 48, known as Olly, was allegedly attacked during an altercation at Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club in the early hours of October 25. Police said he was taken to hospital and later died on November 4. A man was arrested the following day in connection with the assault.
Olly’s wife, Lisa, paid tribute, saying: “Our beloved Olly, loved by so many, he was truly the most wonderful Dad and loving husband but also the heart of our community. This has left us with a huge void in our lives that can never be filled.”
Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor from the Major Crime Unit urged witnesses to come forward, saying: “We want to find out exactly what happened in the lead up to the assault.” She also warned against sharing online footage of the incident, stressing it could “jeopardise any future criminal proceedings.”
Police appealed for information through 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers, quoting Op Teamer.
