A 43-year-old man, Kazeem, has died after jumping into a well under the influence of a hard drug known as ‘Colos’ (Colorado) in the Edun area of Ilorin, Kwara State.

Hassan Adekunle, spokesperson for the Kwara State Fire Service, said they received a distress call at 10:29 a.m. and deployed firefighters who recovered the body.
“The victim, identified as Kazeem, reportedly jumped into the well under the influence of a hard substance known as ‘Colos’ (Colorado) shortly after returning from Eid prayers,” he said.
The body was handed over to Inspector Babatunde Amos of C Division Police Station.
Fire Service Director, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, expressed sadness and warned residents against drug abuse, citing its fatal consequences.
