Although United are reluctant to sell, the club’s Europa League final loss to Spurs—which cost them Champions League revenue—has intensified financial pressures.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has ignited speculation of a Saudi switch after being spotted dining with Al Hilal’s Joao Cancelo amid a reported £200 million offer.
The proposed three-year deal—worth £700,000 per week tax-free—comes as Al Hilal push to finalize their squad ahead of the 32-team Club World Cup this June.
Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinho, held talks with club officials last week in Riyadh. A formal £100m offer is expected to be submitted to Manchester United soon.

Speaking after the defeat, Fernandes said, “If the club thinks it’s time to part ways… it is what it is.”
Despite transfer rumors, Fernandes welcomed new signing Matheus Cunha on Instagram, suggesting he may yet stay.
United boss Ruben Amorim also remains hopeful, saying, “The feeling I get is that he wants to continue.”
