Szoboszlai’s late free-kick sealed Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Arsenal, ending the Gunners’ unbeaten away run.

Liverpool claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday, thanks to a stunning Dominik Szoboszlai free-kick eight minutes from time.

The game was tight throughout, with both sides defending strongly. Arsenal were forced into an early reshuffle when William Saliba limped off after four minutes, replaced by Cristhian Mosquera. Despite the setback, the visitors looked threatening, with Noni Madueke forcing Alisson into a save and Riccardo Calafiori twice going close.

Liverpool grew into the game after the restart, with Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah testing David Raya. Mikel Arteta introduced Martin Odegaard and debutant Eberechi Eze in search of a breakthrough, but it was the Reds who found the decisive moment. Szoboszlai curled a 30-yard effort beyond Raya, clipping the post on its way in.

The result ended Arsenal’s nine-month unbeaten league away run and six-game streak against Liverpool.
