The Nigerian Air Force has destroyed a major insurgent enclave in Arra, Sambisa Forest, killing many terrorists and disrupting their operational networks, according to statements from NAF and the Army leadership.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has conducted a successful airstrike on Arra, a notorious terrorists’ enclave in the Sambisa general area, neutralising many insurgents and destroying key operational structures, according to a statement by NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.
He said the strike, carried out by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai after extensive intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, “achieved its intended effect with the complete destruction of all identified targets, significantly degrading the terrorists’ operational capabilities and disrupting their command and logistics networks.”
The mission followed ISR tracking of terrorist movements linked to the 17 October ambush on troops at Kashomri.
Meanwhile, during an operational tour in Kaduna, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, reaffirmed that strong leadership, loyalty, discipline and continuous training remain critical to addressing evolving security threats, urging officers and soldiers to uphold professionalism while promising enhanced welfare support.
