“I don’t want to be disobedient or be a member of Labour Party that are very disobedient,” Umahi said while commending his Ministry of Works team.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, has criticised Labour Party members, labelling them “very disobedient” during a Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja on Friday.

“I don’t want to be disobedient or be a member of Labour Party that are very disobedient,” Umahi said while commending his Ministry of Works team. “But greater commendation goes to Mr. President.”

The former Ebonyi governor praised President Bola Tinubu for initiating the Sokoto-Badagry road project — a plan originally conceived 47 years ago under former President Shehu Shagari.

“The good news is the Sokoto-Badagry. This was a dream of the Shagari administration about 47 years back… but a very detribalised President directed us to change it to Sokoto-Badagry,” he said.

Umahi described Tinubu as a leader with courage and vision, crediting him for accelerating major infrastructure developments since taking office in May 2023.
