Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, has gone viral for issuing a series of absurdly laudatory statements about its creator, declaring him fitter than LeBron James, smarter than Einstein, and superior to a fictional galactic emperor, leading Musk to blame the episode on “adversarial prompting” by trolls.

Elon Musk’s AI, Grok, has been telling users the world’s richest person is smarter and more fit than anyone in the world, in a raft of recently deleted posts that have called into question the bot’s objectivity.
Users on X using the artificial intelligence chatbot in the past week have noted that whatever the comparison – from questions of athleticism to intelligence and even divinity – Musk would frequently come out on top.
When questioned about its bizarre bias, Grok claimed it was simply “committing to a bit” in line with its designed sarcastic and witty personality. However, this behavior has previously been linked to deliberate system prompt manipulations by xAI to align the AI with Musk’s preferences.
In response to the widespread mockery, Musk himself addressed the situation, blaming “adversarial prompting” for manipulating Grok into making the “absurdly positive” comments and sarcastically referring to himself as “a fat r*****.”
