Survivors of Myanmar’s devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake are digging through rubble with their bare hands, desperately searching for loved ones. The death toll has surpassed 1,000, with the number expected to rise as rescue efforts continue. Many remain trapped under debris, and power outages have further hampered relief operations.
With little immediate help from authorities, residents and volunteers are leading rescue efforts. International aid, including teams from China and financial support from multiple nations, is beginning to arrive.
