“Through Amaechi’s wife’s company, N4 billion was being received every month to train Niger Delta women. That’s N48 billion a year,” Wike said on Channels TV’s Politics Today.

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has demanded President Bola Tinubu release the forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), alleging it details monthly N4 billion payments to a company linked to Rotimi Amaechi’s wife.

“Through Amaechi’s wife’s company, N4 billion was being received every month to train Niger Delta women. That’s N48 billion a year,” Wike said on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He claimed the audit report was “killed” by former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami to shield those implicated.

“Let them release the document. If what I am saying is not in the document, I will resign as FCT minister,” Wike declared.

Responding to Amaechi’s dare for a popularity walk and remarks about his wife being an industrialist, Wike said: “First of all, Amaechi’s wife was not an industrialist at the time; the best I know.”

He also stressed that respect should come from integrity, not age or past positions.
