Nigeria has suffered its third violent attack in three days, with gunmen raiding a church in Kwara State, killing two people and abducting 35 worshippers.

According to a report from VATICAN NEWS, Nigeria is reeling from a string of violent attacks that have unfolded over three days, including the abduction of more than 20 schoolgirls in Kebbi, the kidnapping of a priest in Kaduna, and a deadly assault on a church in Kwara State. Gunmen stormed the Christ Apostolic Church in Oke Isegun on 18 November, killing two people and seizing 35 worshippers, after climbing the fence, opening fire, and using tear gas to block security forces from intervening.

Survivors described chaotic scenes and over 100 bullet casings left behind as the attackers dragged victims into the bush. In response, President Bola Tinubu cancelled planned trips to South Africa and Angola to receive security briefings and oversee efforts to reinforce security in affected regions.
