“It allows audiences to watch a single film without committing to monthly charges,” said COO Imade Bibowei-Osuobeni.
Circuits, Nigeria’s leading virtual cinema and Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD) platform, has launched a pay-per-view model allowing viewers to pay only for films they select. Chief Operating Officer Imade Bibowei-Osuobeni said in Lagos the approach meets audience demand for flexibility and affordability while ensuring fair returns to creators.
“It allows audiences to watch a single film without committing to monthly charges, while revenue flows directly to the content creators,” she explained. Ticket prices start from ₦1,000, with access lasting 8 to 48 hours, while the “Flexiwatch Classics” package offers over 50 curated films for seven or 21 days.
The catalogue spans blockbuster Nollywood titles featuring Femi Adebayo and Lateef Adedimeji, alongside award-winning African films. Since launch, Circuits has recorded over 1.3 million streams from audiences in more than 170 countries. Available on mobile, smart TVs, and web browsers, the platform aims to redefine African film distribution through curated content, global reach, and filmmaker rights protection.
