Nigerian anti-narcotics authorities have announced one of the country’s largest single drug seizures, successfully recovering 1,000 kilograms of cocaine, valued at over $235 million, from an empty container at Lagos’ Tincan Port.
Following the discovery last weekend, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) formalized the seizure on Tuesday and immediately initiated a critical international investigation, collaborating closely with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) to dismantle the drug cartel responsible and apprehend the masterminds operating globally.
