“Let the enemies of Nigeria know their time is up. We will not bow—not to fear, not to terror, not to treachery.”

During a visit to troops in Katsina on May 2, 2025, President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s resolve against terrorism, declaring that the nation would never surrender to fear or treachery. Addressing frontline soldiers, he praised their “courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment,” calling them “the shield of Nigeria.”

Tinubu stated, “Every terrorist you neutralise is a victory for justice, freedom, and the future of this country.” He emphasized the government’s efforts to improve military welfare, including logistics, allowances, healthcare, and housing.

“We are equipping you with superior tools… and committed to your welfare,” he said, assuring them of continuous support. “Let the enemies of Nigeria know their time is up. We will not bow—not to fear, not to terror, not to treachery.”

He urged the troops to remain focused and proud of their role in safeguarding democracy. “Nigeria depends on you, and I am with you every step of the way,” Tinubu concluded.
