Tinubu Departs Abuja for 10-Day Working Vacation in Europe

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday departed Abuja to begin a 10-day working vacation in Europe, the State House has announced.

According to his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president will spend his leave in France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.


NEMA Confirms 30 Dead, 58 Rescued in Niger Boat Mishap

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed that 58 passengers were rescued and over 30 persons died in the recent boat accident at Gausawa community, Borgu LGA, Niger State.

Director General Zubaida Umar said the Minna Operations Office has been directed to intensify rescue operations.


IGP Appoints Benjamin Hundeyin as New Police Spokesman

Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has approved the appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer.

Hundeyin, a graduate of Lagos State University and the University of Ibadan, previously served as Lagos State Police PRO and has represented Nigeria at UN peacekeeping missions.
