Inflation Drops to 16.05% in October — NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics has announced that Nigeria’s inflation rate eased to 16.05 per cent in October 2025 from 18.02 per cent recorded in September. According to the agency’s Consumer Price Index Report released on Monday, the CPI rose to 128.9 in October, up from 127.7 in the previous month.


ADC Chair Says Presidential Ticket Not Reserved for Any Aspirant

The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Senator David Mark, has dismissed claims that the party’s 2027 presidential ticket has been earmarked for any individual. Speaking at the inauguration of the party’s new national secretariat in Abuja, he denied that the building was donated by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, saying he had leased it during his campaign and the tenancy had expired.


Bandits Kill Principal, Abduct 25 Students in Kebbi School Attack

Bandits on Monday invaded Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State, killing the school principal and abducting 25 students. Sources said the attackers also shot dead the school’s Vice Principal, Malam Hassan Makuku, before fleeing with the schoolgirls.
