FCT Tax Agency Drags Dino Melaye to Court Over Alleged Tax Evasion
The Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) on Wednesday initiated a criminal action against Dino Melaye, former senator representing Kogi West, for allegedly failing to file mandatory tax returns for two years.
In a complaint before Court 17 of the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 2, the FCT-IRS accused Melaye of not submitting his annual tax returns for 2023 and 2024.
IGP Charges Sowore With False Publication, Forgery
The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has filed criminal charges against politician and online publisher, Omoyele Sowore.
In a three-count charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/374/2025 before the Federal High Court, Abuja, the IGP accused Sowore of making false publications against the police and forging a police signal.
