Court Restrains PENGASSAN From Strike Against Dangote Refinery
A National Industrial Court in Abuja has restrained the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) from embarking on a planned industrial action against Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE.
Justice Emmanuel Subilim issued the order on Monday while ruling on an ex-parte motion filed by the refinery’s lawyer, George Ibrahim.
The order also prevents the union from cutting crude and gas supply to the facility pending further hearing.
ASUU Issues 14-Day Ultimatum to FG
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has given the Federal Government 14 days to address its seven-point demands or face strike action.
The decision was reached at ASUU’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on Sunday at the University of Abuja.
