Nigerian skitmaker Sanku dies in Oyo road accident

Nigerian skitmaker Sanku has died in a car accident in Oyo State, leaving Nollywood stars and fans in shock and mourning.

Nigerian comedian and skitmaker, Raji Samad Adetola, popularly known as Sanku, has died following a car accident along Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State.

The tragic news was confirmed on Monday by actor Yemi Elesho through his social media platforms.

Sanku’s death came just days after he released a skit on August 4 in which he humorously imagined himself in heaven, only to express disappointment at not seeing people he expected.

In the video, he jokingly urged his partner to go to hell instead, so they could “enjoy life together.”

The comedian’s sudden passing has left the Nollywood community in shock.

Actress Funmi Awelewa wrote, “The pain, the effort, the strength, the struggle… walai nothing make sense. I’m heartbroken. Even film sef never come out! It does not make sense.”

Reports indicate that Sanku and another individual sustained critical injuries in the crash, but the comedian later succumbed to his wounds.

Reacting to the news, actor Jidex said, “This is heartbreaking. Someone who left home in good health is suddenly gone. It is painful, especially coming just a day after the passing of Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor.”

Fans and colleagues continue to mourn the loss of the fast-rising skitmaker.
