Nigerians in diaspora unite to tackle food security with AgriTech forum

The Global AgriTech Innovation Seminar, hosted by GYANT in Aberdeen, is uniting global experts and young innovators to promote sustainable agriculture through technology.

ABERDEEN, UK — The Global Youth in AgriTech Network (GYANT) will today host a landmark Global AgriTech Innovation Seminar at One Tech Hub, Aberdeen, bringing together leading voices to explore how technology can transform agriculture for a sustainable future.

The hybrid event, themed “Cultivating the Future: Harnessing Technology for Sustainable Agriculture”, runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (GMT+1) and aims to address food security challenges by connecting policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and researchers.

Founder and Chief Executive of GYANT, Dr. (Mrs.) Idongesit Mbaram, said: “The future of food production depends on how well we integrate technology, sustainability, and youth innovation. This seminar will be a global platform to share knowledge, showcase solutions, and inspire a new generation of AgriTech leaders.”

Keynote speakers include Jerry L. Cunningham, an American expert with over 50 years of agricultural development experience, and Dr. Pascal Ezenkwu of Robert Gordon University. Panel discussions will feature Dr. Debisi Araba of AKADEMIYA2063, Pete Preston, Oleksandr Chernykh, and Bolaji Akinboro, alongside other global experts.
