North not getting fair share of resources under Tinubu – Kwankwaso

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of marginalising northern Nigeria by concentrating national resources in the South.

Speaking at the Kano State Stakeholders’ Dialogue on the 2025 Constitutional Amendment, the NNPP chieftain decried the poor state of roads from Abuja to Kano. “From Abuja to Kaduna to Kano was a hell — terrible, very bad road,” he said.

He expressed support for national infrastructure but urged fairness. “A situation where government is taking our resources and dumping it in one part of the country… I don’t believe that is the right thing to do,” he said.

Kwankwaso urged Kano lawmakers to resist external influence, warning, “The rich once more is working so hard to take from the poor.”

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf said the dialogue aims to reflect Kano’s true aspirations. The event had lawmakers, traditional rulers, and stakeholders in attendance.

“We must stand firm and do the right thing,” Kwankwaso added. “People representing us… must stand firm and do the right thing.”
