A Bronx woman begged her attacker to stop during a brutal assault inside her apartment building, prosecutors said.
A 21-year-old homeless man has been charged with raping a woman inside her Bronx apartment building in Norwood, police and prosecutors said.
Kenneth Siriboe allegedly attacked the 36-year-old victim around 5 a.m. Sunday on East Gun Hill Road, covering her mouth and squeezing her throat before punching her repeatedly, according to a criminal complaint.
He then allegedly raped her as she screamed, “No, no! Please stop! How much can I give you to make you stop?” Siriboe fled with her purse containing $250, ID, and keys, prosecutors said.
NYPD footage showed him pulling up his pants while escaping the building. He was arrested Monday inside another Bronx residence and arraigned on charges of rape, robbery, burglary, grand larceny, and obstruction of breathing. Bail was set at $30,000.
The Bronx has recorded 399 rapes so far this year, a 27% increase from 2024, amid a citywide surge in sex crime reports, NYPD data shows.
