Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has criticised President Bola Tinubu for failing to visit Benue and Plateau States amid persistent killings, describing it as evidence of a lack of leadership capacity. In a post on X Monday morning, Obi said,

“What cannot be hidden in leadership of a nation is such that it’s either succeeding or failing, none can be hidden.” He added that Tinubu’s inaction shows he does not value Nigerian lives. Obi contrasted Tinubu’s silence with leaders in India and South Africa who, he said, demonstrated empathy by visiting citizens after national tragedies.
