The Olu of Igbokoda, Oba Afolabi Odidiomo, has accused Dayo Aiyedatiwa, elder brother of Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, of physically assaulting him and biting his ear during a ceremony at Ilaje LGA on Monday.

Oba Odidiomo said the incident occurred after he asked Dayo to vacate a seat meant for traditional rulers. “Please, sir, where you are sitting is not appropriate. You are sitting in front of kings,” he reportedly told him.

According to the monarch, Dayo reacted aggressively, lifted him, and bit his ear. “He bent my head… I hit him with my shoulder… blood was dripping,” he said.

The monarch criticized an online report for distorting the incident, claiming it suggested he arrived late and was the aggressor. “That’s not just misrepresentation; it’s a deliberate distortion,” he stated.

Traditional rites have reportedly begun due to the spilling of royal blood. Efforts to reach Dayo Aiyedatiwa were unsuccessful.
