Al Hilal had increased their bid to meet Napoli’s asking price and had scheduled a medical for the Nigerian striker. However, with his rejection, Osimhen’s next move remains uncertain.
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has turned down a €75m transfer offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal.
Football journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed on Sunday via his X handle that although Napoli and Al Hilal had agreed on the transfer fee, Osimhen declined the move. “Despite agreement between club to club with Napoli for €75m fee, Osimhen says no to the Saudi Pro League club. Galatasaray will insist on signing him with the race now open again,” Romano posted.
Osimhen, who is on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, has been a standout performer this season, scoring 37 goals in 41 games. His contribution has made him a fan favorite, and the club is hopeful of securing him permanently.
PUNCH Online earlier reported that Al Hilal had increased their bid to meet Napoli’s asking price and had scheduled a medical for the Nigerian striker. However, with his rejection, Osimhen’s next move remains uncertain.
