“They said he was treated as a threat. He was beaten and left in a pool of blood,” the bereaved mother said.
A businesswoman in Cross River, Victoria Mba, has accused the police of killing her 22-year-old son, Moses Mba, for trying to preach to Governor Bassey Otu at his former residence in Calabar.
Mba said her son claimed he had a vision from God to deliver to the governor. He was denied entry twice before being treated as a threat by security operatives.
“They said he was beaten and left in a pool of blood. Later, we were told he had been shot,” she told The Punch.
According to her, Red Cross officials found Moses in critical condition and took him to Navy Hospital, where he died. She dismissed claims of mental illness and demanded an autopsy.
