3I/ATLAS mystery deepens as Kaku hints at “artificial origin”

Famed physicist Dr. Michio Kaku has publicly criticized NASA for keeping the latest images of 3I/ATLAS hidden from the public — saying, “This isn’t something that needs to be classified.”

Kaku discussed the object’s strange physical and chemical behavior, revealing that new data show 3I/ATLAS has lost its tail after passing close to the Sun — something almost no natural comet does.

The discovery has sparked intense speculation:
Could this object be artificial?

Dr. Kaku pointed out its estimated age of 7 billion years and unusually high nickel content, suggesting it might be made of materials far older — and tougher — than our solar system itself.

He also criticized NASA for delaying Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter images from October 2, warning that “unnecessary secrecy only fuels conspiracy theories.”

While Kaku admitted an extraterrestrial origin remains highly unlikely, he noted that even Harvard’s Dr. Avi Loeb, known for his propulsion theory, hasn’t ruled it out completely.

Whatever 3I/ATLAS truly is — natural or not — it’s rewriting what we thought we knew about interstellar visitors.
