The domestic flight, P47190, had departed from Lagos before experiencing a runway excursion upon arrival in Port Harcourt. In a statement released by the airline, the incident occurred after the plane had landed safely.

“The aircraft veered slightly off the runway without any damage. All passengers disembarked safely and calmly, and no injuries were reported,” said Osifo-Whiskey Efe, spokesperson for Air Peace Limited.

The airline emphasized that safety remains a top priority for its operations. “We reassure the flying public of our unflinching commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety in all our operations,” the statement added.

No disruptions to airport services were reported following the incident, and aviation authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the excursion. Passengers and crew members are said to be safe and unharmed.

Air Peace is one of Nigeria’s leading commercial airlines.
