The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested 40-year-old Fatimah Ibrahim for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old boy in Tashan Jama’are. According to police spokesperson Ahmed Wakil, the suspect employed the minor—an Arabic pupil—to assist in her business before reportedly subjecting him to inappropriate conduct over two months. The case was reported to Azare Divisional Headquarters on March 1 by a concerned citizen from Katagum LGA.
Wakil stated, “The report implicated Fatimah Ibrahim… in a troubling case involving [the victim].” The boy, whose identity was protected, had been housed at the suspect’s residence. Investigations are ongoing as authorities emphasize child protection measures.
