The Nigeria Police, through INTERPOL NCB Abuja, has extradited Abubakar Aboki Muhammed from the UAE over alleged multi-million naira fraud.
Force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said Muhammed was the subject of an INTERPOL Red Notice following a 2023 report by a businessman defrauded of $307,500.
The suspect posed as a shipping agent and secured payment for transporting luxury vehicles from Dubai to Nigeria.
“After receiving the funds via a third-party account in FCMB, Muhammed issued a forged bill of lading and disappeared,” the statement read.
He was arrested in Dubai on April 15, 2025, and extradited to Nigeria for prosecution.
The police praised INTERPOL NCB Abu Dhabi, Dubai Police, and the Nigerian Consulate for their collaboration.
