Police investigate sexual assault claims after Seyi Tinubu reports an alleged attack on a woman he calls his sister, raising questions over gym safety protocols.

The FCT Police Command is investigating an alleged sexual assault involving a woman identified by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, as his “younger sister,” following an incident at an Abuja gym.

The suspect, Oscar Ilochi, allegedly assaulted the victim, Ebunoluwa, in the basement of Evolve 360 Gym Complex in Apo. Police sources confirmed Seyi Tinubu brought her to the station, stating she was traumatized. “Yes, Seyi brought her last night and claimed she is his younger sister by name Ebunoluwa—no surname was given,” a source told SaharaReporters. Official records, however, list only three biological children for First Lady Remi Tinubu, with Seyi being a stepson.

Ilochi, accused of inappropriate touching and attempted assault, had reportedly been banned from the same gym over prior misconduct. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage, while the victim has received medical care. Concerns linger over the gym’s failure to enforce prior sanctions.

Neither the Tinubu family nor the gym management has commented. FCT Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh remained unreachable. Investigations continue as the victim recovers from the ordeal.
