US Weekly magazine reports that Simon Guobadia, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, has been released from ICE detention and deported to Nigeria.

His deportation comes on the heels of the voluntary departure of TikTok’s most followed content creator, Khaby Lame, from the US after ICE detained him.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Simon Guobadia, estranged husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, has been deported to Nigeria following his release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention, US Weekly reports.

Guobadia, 61, had been held by ICE amid the Trump administration’s intensified immigration crackdown. A businessman who spent over 40 years in the United States, Guobadia reportedly missed a 30 April court hearing in his ongoing divorce due to his detention.

His deportation follows that of TikTok star Khaby Lame, who also recently left the U.S. after ICE action.

According to his associate Tai Savet, “Guobadia was in good spirits” despite the ordeal, which marked his first time in custody.

Born in Nigeria in 1964, Guobadia moved to the U.S. in 1982 and later earned a BBA in accounting. He founded SIMCOL Petroleum and once operated Simon’s Restaurant in Atlanta.

Neither Guobadia nor Porsha Williams has issued a public statement since the deportation.
