There is nothing wrong with the president, he is okay. He can choose to work from home. He can choose to work from anywhere. I tell you nothing is wrong with the president.
The Presidency has dismissed rumours that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is ill and being prepared for possible evacuation abroad.
Reports from the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) had suggested the President had been bedridden for days, prompting cancellations of several official functions. Vice President Kashim Shettima reportedly stepped in at key events in his absence .
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga denied the speculation, telling Daily Trust: “There is nothing wrong with the president, he is okay. He can choose to work from home. He can choose to work from anywhere. I tell you nothing is wrong with the president” . He recalled that Tinubu “was in his office yesterday (August 5). I was with him. I went to see him. He came to work” .
Tinubu’s most recent public appearance was on August 1, at the Progressive Media Summit, where he appeared in good health. Days earlier, he had welcomed the Super Falcons at the airport after their WAFCON win .
