Opta’s Supercomputer tips Liverpool as favourites for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, ahead of Arsenal and defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Opta’s Supercomputer has predicted Liverpool as the leading contender for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League trophy, with the group stage set to begin next week. According to the model, the Premier League giants have a 20.4% chance of winning the tournament. Arsenal follow as the second favourite, while reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain are third with a 12.1% probability of retaining their title.

Manchester City and Barcelona each hold an 8.4% chance, with Chelsea at 7%. Real Madrid are ranked seventh with a 5.8% chance, behind Chelsea. Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Newcastle United round out the top 10, each assessed at a 5% likelihood.

The projections come as European football prepares for another intense season, with England’s clubs dominating the upper ranks of the prediction table. The Champions League group stage kicks off next week, promising fierce competition across Europe.
