Jose Mourinho is being linked with Rangers and other potential clubs after his sacking by Fenerbahce.
Just hours after being sacked by Fenerbahce, Jose Mourinho has been linked with a move to Scottish giants Rangers, raising speculation about his next managerial destination.
The Portuguese coach was dismissed on Friday after failing to guide the Turkish club into the Champions League group stage. Despite losing only 11 of his 62 matches in charge, Fenerbahce opted to part ways following their elimination.
Rangers have emerged as a possible next stop after their disastrous 9-1 aggregate loss to Club Brugge and a winless start to the Scottish Premiership under Russell Martin. European football expert Kevin Hatchard told talkSPORT that Mourinho would be “interested” in the Ibrox job, describing such a move as “extraordinary.”
Mourinho, 62, previously admitted he would like to manage in Scotland, citing the passion of the game. Arsenal legend Ray Parlour also suggested Rangers could be an ideal fit.
Beyond Scotland, Mourinho has been linked to Nottingham Forest, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, West Ham, and even a sensational return to Manchester United.
