The Investigating Court No. 3 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Gran Canaria) has formally charged Real Madrid defender Raúl Asencio and his former youth teammates Andrés García, Ferrán Ruiz, and Juan Rodríguez for allegedly recording sexual videos involving two women—one of whom was a minor (16 years old)—and sharing the footage without their consent.
According to a statement released Wednesday afternoon by the High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands, the presiding judge has issued a ruling that concludes the investigative phase and formalizes the criminal proceedings against the four individuals.
This now opens the door for the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the plaintiffs to file charges and request the commencement of a trial.
The judge sees evidence of the following alleged offenses: unlawful disclosure of private content and violation of privacy (Article 197.1 of the Penal Code), distribution and transmission of the videos to third parties without warning or consent from the victims (Article 197.3), and the recording or use of minors for pornographic purposes as well as possession of child pornography (Articles 189.1 and 189.5 of the Penal Code).
