Phyna apologised for tweets blaming Yoruba boys for damaging her car, clarifying that anger drove her remarks and she meant no ethnic slur.
Reality TV star Phyna has apologised for her earlier tweets alleging that Yoruba boys vandalised her car after she declined to give them money.
In a follow-up statement on Sunday, the former Big Brother Naija winner admitted that anger influenced her words, stressing that she never intended to malign the Yoruba tribe or incite division.
“I must say I let my anger get the best of me with the tweets I made earlier. It’s just a whole lot going on, plus having to fix the scratches and replace what was taken from the windshield of my car,” she wrote.
Phyna clarified that the incident was carried out by individuals and should not be generalised to any ethnic group.
“It wasn’t my intention to malign the Yoruba tribe… I love all tribes, I love my Yoruba brothers & sisters,” she added, concluding with, “Emabinu, E f’orijimi.”
