Rep. Wale Ahmed insisted Tinubu’s second term in 2027 is guaranteed, citing reforms, infrastructure projects, and economic gains despite opposition vows to unseat him.

Dr. Wale Ahmed, representing Agege Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s second term in 2027 is “assured,” dismissing opposition plans to challenge him.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ briefing in Agege, Ahmed argued that Tinubu, like former President Muhammadu Buhari, deserved two full terms. “All his opponents should rest and allow him to have a second term. By God’s grace, his second term is assured. I will mobilise my constituents to ensure Tinubu is returned for another term,” he said.

He defended the removal of fuel subsidy, describing it as a bold reform already yielding economic dividends, including rising foreign reserves, increased investment inflows, reduced inflation, and student loan disbursements. He also cited major infrastructure projects such as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway and Sokoto–Badagry superhighway as evidence of Tinubu’s commitment to development.

The briefing was attended by local government chairmen, traditional rulers, and community leaders, who commended Ahmed for constituency projects and empowerment programmes.
