Joe Kennedy III and Jack Schlossberg have urged Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to resign as health secretary, accusing him of undermining science and endangering Americans.
Former Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-MA) has called on his grandfather, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to resign as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, warning that his leadership endangers Americans. In a statement on X, he said, “Robert Kennedy Jr. is a threat to the health and well-being of every American… At yesterday’s hearing, he chose to do the opposite: to dismiss science, mislead the public, sideline experts, sow confusion.”
Kennedy III argued that outbreaks, mental health crises, and other health challenges require “moral clarity, scientific expertise, and leadership rooted in fact,” which he said were lacking under his grandfather. He warned no family would be “spared the pain” of illness if science was disregarded. Jack Schlossberg, grandson of John F. Kennedy and son of Caroline Kennedy, also condemned RFK Jr., posting online: “RFK LOSER is choking so badly LIVE.” The sharp rebukes deepen divisions within the Kennedy family as pressure mounts on the health secretary.
