Top Russian officials, including Senator Dmitry Rogozin and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, published threats and a map naming 23 UK defence-linked sites as potential targets and suggested further hostile actions after remarks by former British defence secretary Ben Wallace.

Russian officials have threatened strikes on 23 British defence-linked sites after a public row over UK support for Ukraine. Senator Dmitry Rogozin published a map highlighting military and industrial locations in Barrow, Plymouth and Glasgow and warned the UK would become “deadly dangerous.”

Vladimir Solovyov, a Kremlin-aligned television presenter, echoed the threats, saying the identified targets “will get what’s coming to them,” and referenced deployment of Russia’s Poseidon underwater drone as a potential option.

The comments followed remarks by former British defence secretary Ben Wallace advocating long-range capabilities to “make Crimea uninhabitable.” Rogozin said the map was “useful” for those who still consider peace with “imperialist aggressors” possible and warned oligarchs not to send their children to study in England.

State media also floated striking the World War II wreck SS Richard Montgomery in the Thames estuary, which reportedly holds about 1,400 tonnes of explosives, with commentator Andrey Sidorov saying: “Just don’t accuse me of terrorism.” in a chilling escalation.
