Fuji star Saheed Osupa says Burna Boy’s recognition “uplifts his journey” after the Grammy winner named him among his GOAT singers.
Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has expressed gratitude to Burna Boy after the Grammy-winning artiste named him among his greatest singers of all time.
During a recent conversation with Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer, Burna Boy revealed his admiration for Fuji music, describing Osupa as his GOAT singer. “My GOAT singers are mostly Fuji artistes like Saheed Osupa,” he said.
Reacting on X, Osupa described Burna Boy’s tribute as “a monumental moment that celebrates the soul of Fuji music and its timeless influence.” He added, “This honour not only uplifts my journey but also shines a brilliant light on our rich cultural heritage, bridging generations and genres.”
The Fuji star praised Burna Boy as an “Afropop titan” and said he looks forward to attending one of his concerts to reciprocate his “genuine love and affection.”
“Together, we are redefining African music legacy and inspiring the world with authentic, vibrant sounds,” Osupa wrote.
