Mohamed Salah says he’s “shaken” and scared to return to Liverpool after the death of teammate Diogo Jota and his brother.
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has expressed grief following the reported deaths of teammate Diogo Jota and Jota’s brother, André. In an emotional Instagram post on Friday, Salah admitted the tragedy has left him shaken.
“Until yesterday, I never thought there would be something that would frighten me of going back to Liverpool after the break,” he wrote. “Teammates come and go but not like this.” Salah extended condolences to Jota’s family, adding, “My thoughts are with his wife, his children, and of course his parents who suddenly lost their children.
Those close to Diogo and his brother Andre need all the support they can get.” Jota joined Liverpool in 2020 and was a key player in their attack.
