Sanwo-Olu says Lagos is investing in a modern, citizen-focused public service.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says his administration is committed to building a modern, citizen-focused workforce for Lagos through capacity-building, technology adoption, and leadership development.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Public Service Accelerator Programme (PSAP) in Alausa, the governor, represented by his deputy, Dr. Kadri Hamzat, said human capital development remains central to achieving the THEMES+ agenda.
“We understand that to truly achieve the bold goals of our THEMES+ agenda, we must invest deliberately in the capacity, mindset, and effectiveness of the people who turn policy into tangible results for the citizens of Lagos,” he said.
Sanwo-Olu described PSAP as a transformative initiative aimed at equipping officers with the tools, knowledge, and mindset to solve 21st-century problems with innovation, empathy, and accountability. He reaffirmed support for initiatives that institutionalize excellence and knowledge transfer in the public service.
The programme trained mid-level officers in leadership, innovation, technology, and teamwork to strengthen service delivery.
