Saudi Arabia has announced that the 2025 Arafah sermon will be broadcast in Hausa, Yoruba, Fulani, and 34 other languages.

The initiative aims to help pilgrims and global listeners connect with the sermon in their native tongues.

According to Haramain, a Saudi-based news platform, “The Hajj Khutbah 1446 will be translated into 34 languages on Thursday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1446.” These include Arabic, Urdu, English, French, Mandarin, Russian, Bengali, Swahili, Spanish, and more.

“This multilingual broadcast aims to deliver Islam’s message of tolerance to a global audience,” the statement said, emphasizing improved communication between Muslims and non-Muslims.

The Dhul Hijjah crescent was sighted on May 27, confirming the start of the Islamic calendar’s 12th month. The Day of Arafat will be observed on June 5, and Eid-el-Adha on June 6, the holiest festival in Islam.

Dhul Hijjah is known for spiritual reflection and increased worship.
